I don’t want my life to imitate art, I want my life to be art. -Carrie Fisher
While growing up, I was never quite sure who I wanted to be, or where I wanted to end up. To test the waters of each short-lived passion, I would dip my toes into various ponds throughout my youth–never quite satisfied with any of my dreams for longer than a year or two. It would be dishonest to say that my life is any different at this moment; I still struggle to decide on a path to take. What I have always known, though, is that my passions are always creative in nature, and that I have a passion for the video game industry. Perhaps I belong in many different ponds at once, and I can contribute all of my creative skill-sets into an industry I love. I love to write, and I love to draw, and I love to design the perfect Animal Crossing house (are you sure that can’t be a career?). The Pixel Portal is just another one of my creative outlets where I can share all of my thoughts and interests on the topics that I care about. So, let’s talk gaming!
The Important Stuff
I’m a Canadian who loves coffee, and my favourite game of all time is Final Fantasy IX (I’ve been obsessed with it since I was 8). I went to York University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Specialized Honours in English, and I freelance writing and editing. Additionally, I work in a small team that is developing a PC game, and I create the game’s art assets and help with designing game mechanics and levels.
